Get online week

Age Concern Tyneside South hosted a Get online week which was opened by the Mayor and Mayoress of South Tyneside, Cllr Ken Stephenson and Mrs Cathy Stephenson on the 15th October 2018.

This commenced a series of events over the week to assist clients to find out how to make the most of the internet.

Since 2007, the campaign has reached more than half a million people, helping them to find support to more on line. But there are still 11.3 million people in the UK who struggle online, and 4.3 million people with no digital skills at all.

The Get online campaign will assist people from every thing from home shopping to job searches and assist them with Learn My Way.

Learn My Way is a e-learning package designed to allow users to access the digital world through a series of simple self-instruction modules which can be completed at their own pace.

Age Concern Tyneside South have over the last few years have assisted many hundreds of clients to become digitally aware.
