START (South Tyneside Advocacy Resource Team)
This service is available for older people who may have experienced a significant life event or need support to cope with issues that can arise later in life, which can have a dramatic impact on their day-to-day living.
ACTS provides tailored advice and support on a range of issues relating to home energy and winter health as well as signposting clients to relevant internal and external services for other assistance.
Our Integrated Service offers a wide range of support to holistically meet the needs of older people living in South Tyneside. A Single Point of Contact team can book you an appointment to see an Advisor, Support Worker or Handyperson, or they can direct you to the most appropriate person or signpost to other services.
Do you sometimes feel lonely or isolated? Meet with one of our Link Workers and they will help get you connected to the things you want to do, whether with us at ACTS or anywhere else across the borough.
