As an independent charity our Strategic Plan for 2023-2025 sets out our vision, mission, values, and strategic objectives, establishing our direction over the next year and into the future.
This plan builds on the achievements we have made since we established in 2016, when we took over the staff and responsibilities of our predecessor. We continue to look for opportunities to improve the offer to older people in the borough.
Our Strategic Plan is a response to what matters to older people, within South Tyneside We have a firm foundation for the organisation through strong governance and this enables us to continue working in South Tyneside to enable older people to live the lives they want to.
Our strategic objectives are underpinned by a robust budget, action plans, risk register and performance indicators; our work is delivered by our management team, staff and volunteers and monitored by the Board of Trustees.
In delivering this Strategic Plan, by 2025 we want to see much more support, particularly relating to addressing poverty and loneliness, in neighbourhood settings across the borough; preventative activity built into all the work we do, which improves or maintains physical and mental well-being; and collaborative
working with other organisations to build local capacity, so all older people in South Tyneside can access activity and support on their doorstep.
We will build the strength and capacity of our organisation to continue to deliver high quality services to older people across the borough, with a diverse income stream that supports our sustainability. We will also influence strategic planners and collaborate with partners to ensure that what matters to older people matters
to them too.
ACTS are constantly looking at ways to increase community awareness to help increase our reach to grow our impact.
ACTS is always happy to connect with new partners or support collaborative work which benefits older people; if you would like to work with us, do get in
touch.
